But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard, Gandalf, and a company of thirteen dwarves arrive on his doorstep to whisk him away on a journey “there and back again”. Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. My Rating:  4

The Girl on the Train follows a girl who takes the same train everyday, in doing so she passes through the same rout and has formed these ‘out-of-the-ordinary’ connections with complete strangers. She has made these almost fictional characters in her mind off of them. One day, like any other day she’s passing through that rout and sees something peculiar. She is then faced with a moral dilemma of whether to consult these people she somewhat knows but they know nothing about her.

“There’s something comforting about the sight of strangers safe at home.”
